Dewar's 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is called Double Aged because, after the first maturation and blending, the whisky spends a further six months marrying in oak casks.
Aberfeldy single malt, from the distillery John Alexander Dewar opened in 1898 close to the family home, is the main component of the Dewar's blends.
