Dewar's 15 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky created by Dewar's master blender Stephanie Macleod. It is matured in sherry and bourbon casks, then blended and returned to specially selected oak casks to marry, giving a smoother character and a longer finish.
It is known as The Monarch, after the 1851 painting The Monarch of the Glen by Sir Edwin Landseer, which John Dewar and Sons bought in 1916.
The nose brings floral notes, citrus, green apple, coconut and vanilla. The palate is warm and complex, with honey, golden toffee and rich exotic fruit. The finish is smooth, long and warming.
