This is a 27 year old blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, part of its Double Double series, bottled at 46%. It is made in four stages: the component whiskies are aged, blended, aged further and finally finished in Palo cortado sherry casks.
The nose is soft, with apricot and vanilla fudge, fragrant tobacco, dried spice and a hint of leather. The palate has creamy caramel and runny honey alongside smoked tea, cedar and citrus peel. Cinnamon and caramel linger on the finish, with honeyed stone fruit and leathery oak.
