Dewar's 8 Year Old Portuguese Smooth is a blended Scotch whisky, made from malt and grain whiskies aged for at least eight years. It is finished in Portuguese oak casks and bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is gentle, with orchard fruit, soft honey and vanilla, plus light toasted oak and citrus zest. The palate is smooth and creamy, with ripe pear, caramel, delicate spice and toasted nuts. The finish is clean and lingering, with a little oak warmth and a touch of sweetness.
