This is a 21 year old blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's Double Double series, which Master Blender Stephanie Macleod introduced in 2019 with a four stage ageing process.
The malts and grains were aged for 21 years, then blended and returned to the barrel for further ageing. The final step is a finish in Japanese mizunara oak casks.
Citrus comes through as lime zest and grapefruit peel, with hints of sandalwood from the mizunara oak and a glossy mouthfeel. The finish carries zested lemon and white chocolate.
