Dewar's Double Double 27 Year Old (50cl, 41.5%)

This is a 27 year old blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, bottled at 41.5% in a 50cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky is matured twice: first in bourbon casks, then in sherry-seasoned European oak, which is the double maturation the name refers to. The nose offers golden raisin, polished oak, honeyed malt, dried apricot, toasted almond and a little sandalwood. On the palate come caramel, dark chocolate, orange zest and fig paste with oak spice. The finish is long and soft, with baked apple, a light tobacco spice and mellow oak.
