Diplomático Mantuano Extra Añejo (75cl, 40%)

Diplomático Mantuano is a Venezuelan aged rum from the Diplomático distillery, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The name honours Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez, whose portrait appears on the label. It is a blend aged for up to eight years in white oak casks that previously held bourbon and malt whisky. The result balances sweet caramel richness with spice and oak, and it works in classic cocktails as well as neat or over ice. The nose brings dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and subtle oak spice. The palate is rich with toffee, dark sugar, baking spices and hints of chocolate, and the finish is smooth and warming.
