Doc Swinson's Session Blend Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Doc Swinson's usually works with blends of high-proof whiskeys. This straight bourbon is a blend made for relaxed, drawn-out evenings: bold enough to go into a mixed drink, yet smooth enough to drink straight from the bottle. The nose offers candied almonds, toasted oak, sweet vanilla and cacao powder. On the palate come dried fruits, brown sugar, candied pecans, rye toast and caramel corn, with a buttercream texture. It lingers, with vanilla, Cracker Jack, cherries and brown butter.
