Don Pilar El Secreto Ultra Extra Añejo is a tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in volcanic soils. The agave is harvested at full maturity and processed through traditional tequila production methods, including cooking, fermentation and double distillation. As an Extra Añejo, it is matured for more than three years in oak barrels, in a combination of French oak and American white oak, including both new and previously used casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV. The nose offers toasted oak, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, butterscotch and cooked agave. The palate is round and luxurious with caramel, baked agave, chocolate, apricot, warm oak spice and subtle cinnamon. The finish is long and decadent with lingering sweet oak, cocoa and gentle spice.
