Double Barrel Islay & Highland is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, bringing together single malts from Islay and the Highlands. The two are chosen for how different they are and combined to balance very different flavours. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweetly smoky, developing towards well-fired toast and honey. On the palate, smoke and ashes sit against a sweet malt character. The finish is long, with charred nuts and a marzipan sweetness.
