The Asia Moon Edition is a blended malt Scotch from Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range, released in 2023 to celebrate the traditional Moon Festival, a time of reunion during the autumn harvest. It brings together single malts representing Scotland's whisky regions, finished in Port, Bourbon and Sherry casks, and is bottled at 50%.
The nose combines sweet malted barley, oat biscuits and vanilla oak with a touch of sea salt. The palate is rich and mouth-coating, with allspice, ripe nectarines and mocha. The finish carries wisps of peat smoke, orange rind and stewed orchard fruits.
