Rock Island 10 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch from Douglas Laing, made from single malts of the Scottish islands, including Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. It belongs to the Remarkable Regional Malts collection and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose combines barley and buttery malt with sea air, gentle peat smoke and fresh citrus. On the palate come sea spray, cracked black pepper, damp ash and a smoky sweetness. The finish is long and gently smoky, with wood embers, orange peel, warming spice and a coastal saltiness.
