Douglas Laing Rock Island 4.5L (4.5L, 46.8%)

Rock Island is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, here in a 4.5 litre bottle at 46.8%. It combines malts from Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, and it is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The whisky was originally called Rock Oyster before it took its present name. Expect salt spray, smoked driftwood and a hint of honey-glazed ham on the nose. The palate is creamy and briny, with black pepper, toasted oak and citrus oil. The finish is long, with maritime peat and sea salt.
