Rock Island Sherry Edition is a small-batch blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from whiskies of Islay, Jura, Arran and Orkney, then finished in sherry casks.
It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The Rock Island series takes its name from the islands that inspire it. Douglas Laing is an independent, family-owned bottler, founded in 1948.
The nose is briny, with sultanas, honeyed malt and a touch of smoke. The palate has sweet sherry fruit, salted caramel, toasted nuts and gentle peat. The finish is long and balanced, with spice, dried fruits and a little maritime smoke.
