Scallywag Alberta Edition is a blended malt from Douglas Laing.
The nose is rich and sweet, with toffee, honey and vanilla, plus dried fruits and a subtle spiciness. The palate is smooth, creamy and full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel, bringing caramel, butterscotch and dark chocolate, with cinnamon and nutmeg for warmth. Raisins, figs and a gentle oakiness follow.
The finish is long, with lingering sweetness and a hint of spice.
