This is a 45 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Port Dundas Distillery in Glasgow, now closed. Douglas Laing bottled it for the Diamond Collection, marking the company's 75th anniversary of its Xtra Old Particular range. It matured for 45 years in a single refill hogshead and was bottled at natural cask strength of 49.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 106 bottles were produced. The nose offers candy floss and spun sugar, developing into sticky date pudding and custard. Fudge and vanilla lead the palate, with cereal notes and a mild touch of tobacco. The finish is creamy custard, honey and delicate sweet spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
