It was distilled in winter 1982 and bottled in winter 2003, after twenty years in a sherry cask, number DMG3029. It was bottled at 46% ABV, with no added colour and without chill filtration. The nose has fine smoke and fresh citrus, with dried fruit, a touch of sweetness and peaty notes with tar. The palate is creamy, pairing Islay peat with a hint of sherry sweetness, while spice adds contrast. The finish is spicy and long.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
