Dragonjuice Highlands Batch 2 is a heavily peated 10 year old single malt from the Isle of Mull, bottled by Whisky Druid in a 70cl bottle at 50.2% ABV.
It was matured in four first-fill casks: a ruby port barrique, a PX sherry hogshead, an oloroso sherry hogshead and a red wine barrique. The batch is 951 bottles, and it is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose opens with dry, ashy wood smoke, then peat, dried fruit and apricot over soft hazelnut. On the palate a strong peaty start carries dark, heavy fruit sweetness, with dark grapes and restrained nut notes from the oloroso. The finish is long, with dirty peat smoke and deep sweetness.
