An 11 year old Laphroaig from the 2013 vintage, bottled by Dràm Mòr for its 5th birthday. It was matured in a refill barrel and bottled at 53.8% in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 300 bottles.
The nose combines Laphroaig peat smoke with chewy caramel toffee, salt and mild yellow fruit, then seaweed, brine, Arbroath smokies and vanilla ice cream. On the palate are dry wood smoke and iodine, balanced by lemon, lime and sugar syrup, with a briny note mid-palate. The finish is medium, with lingering smoke, sweetness and a touch of cardamom.
