A VSOP Cognac from Drouet et Fils, a family-owned house founded in 1848 and now run by Patrick Drouet. It is based in the village of Salles d'Angles, just south of the town of Cognac.
It is made solely from Grande Champagne grapes and has a clean taste.
The nose shows figs and prunes with plenty of sweetness. The palate is juicy and elegantly spiced, with a hint of cask, vanilla and some plum. The finish is long, with spice playing against the sweetness of the grapes.
