An 8 year old single malt from the Dufftown distillery, bottled in the late 1970s in a 757ml bottle with a black and red coat of arms label. The label gives the strength as 70 proof, about 40% ABV.
The fluid ounce and proof system was mainly in use in the 1970s, which points to a late 1970s or early 1980s bottling. The whisky could have been distilled as early as 1965, and bottled in 1972 at the earliest.
