This is a 21 year old single grain whisky from Dumbarton, a distillery that has since closed. It was distilled in November 2000, matured in a refill hogshead and bottled in May 2022 by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range. The 70cl bottles, 176 in all, are at 51.5% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose brings sweet raspberry jam, candy floss, honey-soaked grain and caramel cream. On the palate, soft spice leads to sponge pudding with golden syrup, then spiced oak, vanilla, nutmeg and clove-studded orange. The finish is marked by cardamom, cinnamon and milk chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
