Duncan Taylor Five Star Blended Scotch (175cl, 40%)

Five Star is a blended Scotch whisky from Duncan Taylor, combining selected malt and grain whiskies that have matured in oak casks. It is bottled at 40% in a large 1.75 litre bottle with a handle. The blend is light and fruity, built around dried pineapple, honey and pilsner malt, with lemongrass, pastry, raisin bran and cinnamon adding herbal, cereal and gently spiced notes. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose brings tropical fruit and fine honey. On the palate, fruit and honey sweetness sit in a soft, balanced texture, and the finish is mild and pleasant.
