This is a Linkwood distilled in 1989 and bottled by Duncan Taylor at 50.6% under the name The Octave. It matured for 27 years in oak casks, then spent a further nine months in a small octave cask.
Malt, fruit and heather honey mark the nose. The palate brings sherry and toffee, stewed berries and milk chocolate, followed by a sweet, soft and round finish.
