E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

E.H. Taylor Small Batch is a bottled in bond bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who helped push through the Bottled-in-Bond Act. The mash bill is Mash Bill #1, a low rye recipe, and the barrels are hand-selected, batched in small numbers and bottled at 100 proof (50%). It matures in the century-old warehouses Taylor built. The nose is warm caramel corn with butterscotch, vanilla and dried orange peel. The palate has butterscotch, liquorice and gentle baking spice, and the finish brings black pepper, tobacco leaf and lingering oak.
