Eddu Silver is a Breton whisky made at the Distillerie des Menhirs in Plomelin, Finistère. It is distilled entirely from buckwheat, also known as sarrasin, and is described as the first whisky in the world made from that grain. After double distillation it spends five years in French oak casks that previously held cognac. It is bottled at 43% ABV. The nose is intense and complex, with citrus, toasted hazelnut and floral touches of rose and heather. On the palate come apple, orange peel and candied apricot alongside cinnamon and nutmeg, with a creamy texture. The finish is fruity, balanced and fresh.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
