ELEMENT Lore R/1.0 Irish Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Lore R/1.0 is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from ELEMENT, a brand that has its whisky made at the Great Northern Distillery and produced and bottled by New Era Spirits. It is bottled at 43%, without chill-filtration or added colour. Eighty per cent of the blend is five-year-old malt matured in ex-bourbon casks. The remaining twenty per cent is split equally between whisky finished in sweet Moscatel casks and whisky finished in Madeira casks, both after ex-bourbon maturation. Fresh fruit, citrus and toasted oak lead the nose. Dark fruit and caramel meet a coffee note reminiscent of caffe latte on the palate, and the finish is full, with malty spice and a soft creaminess.
