Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at 47% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It was created to replace the brand's 12 Year Old expression, and it keeps a core of cooked apple with honey.
Its warm spice and subtle smoke come from Level 3 charred oak barrels.
The nose offers honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and spicy cardamom seed. On the palate there are baked apples dusted with cinnamon, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough. The finish is lingering nutmeg and charred oak.
