Elsburn Cosy Winter XI is the 2025 winter edition from Hercynian Distilling Co., a German single malt bottled at 51.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads and first-fill ruby port hogsheads. Together they bring dark fruit, berries, pastry and chocolate to the malt. The edition runs to 654 bottles.
The nose is described as redcurrant jelly, plum compote, fruit cake, chocolate-covered raisins and brittle.
