Elvis The King Straight Rye is a tribute bottling from Grain and Barrel Spirits, released under licence. It is sourced and blended, then bottled in Tennessee at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the whiskey is matured in new charred oak. The black and pale green label shows a young Elvis with his guitar, with the TCB lightning bolt on the neck.
The nose is sweet rye grassiness with hints of citrus and apple. The palate has toasted oak, butterscotch and vanilla wafers with a soft hint of pepper, and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is sweet and complex.
