Eppelmann Elsheimer Bockstein Riesling 2024 (75cl, 12%)

Riesling from Weingut Eppelmann, grown on the Elsheimer Bockstein vineyard in Rheinhessen on chalky Terra fusca soil. The 2024 vintage is still very young, and the estate describes Bockstein as its most mineral Riesling, with very salty character and clear chalk influence. The wine shows citrus, lime and green apples, white peaches and a little blossom, with plenty of chalk and minerality, a taut fresh acidity and an almost salty finish. It suits oysters or shellfish, grilled fish, sushi, fresh cheeses and charcuterie, or simply served ice-cold on the terrace.
