Etna Rosso DOC Animardente is a red wine from Animaetnea, made from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio on the volcanic slopes of Etna in Sicily. It shows mature red fruit, spice and a delicate mineral trace reminiscent of lava stone. On the palate it is elegant, with balanced acidity and soft tannins, a fine persistent structure and a long harmonious finish with cherry, black pepper and a slightly smoky note. It suits Sicilian dishes, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
