This is a 12 year old Teaninich single malt, released as Chapter Eight of the Fable Fairies series by Pendulum Spirits Limited. It is bottled at 56.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fragrant, with citrus oils, orange and cut grass, alongside fresh hay, chamomile and tart apple. Soft bitter notes lead into roasted coffee beans and gentle malt. On the palate, toasted hazelnuts turn into warm baked apple pie, with baking spices and a mild peppery tingle. Water makes it drier, with a whisper of smoke and beeswax in the middle.
The finish is medium to long and fairly dry, with bitter orange marmalade and fresh biscuits.
