Fable Whisky Chapter 11 'Ghost' Glen Spey 12 Years Old (61.8%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from Glen Spey, bottled at 61.8% ABV as Chapter 11, 'Ghost', of the Fable Whisky series. Glen Spey stands in Rothes in Speyside, and the name Ghost fits a distillery said to have a ghost in residence. The nose is malty and buttery, with tropical fruit. On the palate there is fruit salad with honeydew melon, nutty chocolate and spicy black pepper. The finish is of medium length, smooth and rounded, with sweet toasted oak, marshmallow and soft spice. A little water brings out tinned peach, sweet honey and cedar.
