Fercullen 18 Year Old is an Irish single malt whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It was hand selected by Master Distiller Noel Sweeney and is produced at Powerscourt Distillery, on the Powerscourt Estate at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains.
The whiskey spent 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels and other selected casks, and it is non-chill filtered.
The nose offers honeycomb, dried apricot, vanilla oak and soft citrus oils. On the palate there are toffee, tropical fruits, roasted nuts and toasted oak, with white pepper and malt spice. The finish is long and mellow, with honeyed fruit, oak tannins and a subtle spiced fade.
