A ten-year-old Highland single malt from Fettercairn, distilled in 2011 and matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel, number 800355. It is an independent bottling from Best Dram.
The nose has sun-warmed dry straw with vanilla and butterscotch, fine citrus zest behind, turning drier with shortbread. The palate is creamy, with vanilla and butterscotch moving into shortbread, then hazelnut, a hint of white peach and a touch of citrus zest, drying towards the end. The finish is medium in length, with biscuits, hazelnut and a little tannin.
