Fettercairn – 19 Year Old Cadenhead's Original Collection (46%)

This is a 19 year old Fettercairn from the Original Collection of Cadenhead's, which describes itself as Scotland's oldest independent bottler. Fettercairn stands at the foot of the Cairngorms in the eastern Highlands. The whisky spent all 19 years in bourbon barrels, which add vanilla, caramel and soft wood notes to the sweet distillery style. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose is described as fruit salad sweets and quince, and the palate as vanilla custard and toffee popcorn.
