Fidora Pinot Grigio Amphora 2020

Fidora Pinot Grigio Amphora 2020 is a Veneto white wine made from Pinot Grigio grown on the Civranetta estate near the Venice lagoon. Fidora has farmed organically since 1974 and later moved to biodynamic methods. The best bunches are selected, destemmed and lightly crushed, then fermented with wild yeast in Italian terracotta amphorae. The amphorae are sealed and the wine rests on its skins for about four months, then settles naturally without fining or filtration, so a natural deposit may appear. The skin contact adds a touch of oxidation and tannin. Green and slightly exotic notes run through nose and palate, with apricot, peach, hazelnut and almond, and a hint of forest floor on the finish.
