Fielden – Harvest 2019 Rye Whisky

Fielden Harvest 2019 is an English rye whisky from the Fielden distillery, made as a limited edition entirely from grain harvested in 2019. The mash is 73 per cent rye, with wheat, barley and a small share of malted grain. The mash ferments for four to five days in stainless steel vessels before double distillation in both pot and column stills. The spirit then matures in a combination of American oak casks, Sauternes barriques and Ramandolo casks. The nose offers roses, fresh ginger, apricot and a buttery touch. On the palate come delicate summer fruits, brioche, cream and apple crumble in a light, fresh texture. The finish has white pepper and fresh thyme.
