Floki Single Malt Icelandic Birch Finish (70cl, 47%)

This is an Icelandic single malt from the Eimverk distillery, bottled in 2023 at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It matured first in American oak and then received a finish in Icelandic birch wood, which gives it a distinctive character. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose brings fresh birch wood with soft vanilla and caramel and a hint of peaty spice. On the palate there are sweet malt flavours, light herbal spice and a restrained woodiness. The finish is long, with birch wood notes and a warm, spicy close.
