This is the 2017 release of Man O'Words, an unpeated whisky from cask 1048, a refill ex-bourbon cask bottled at 60.3% ABV.
Refill casks of this kind were previously seasoned with Scotch whisky. Their seasoned oak has a mellow influence, which leaves the character of the spirit itself in front.
It is described as creamy vanilla and orchard fruits, finishing warm, buttery and lingering.
