Four Roses – Single Barrel (75cl, 50%)

Four Roses Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle, from the Four Roses distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Each bottle comes from a single barrel of one of the distillery's 10 bourbon recipes. Those recipes combine two mashbills, one high rye at 35% and one low rye at 20%, with five yeast strains. The recipe code printed on the label shows which one the barrel represents. The nose offers ripe plum, cherry, herbs and cocoa. The palate is fruity and spicy and smooth for its strength, leading to a long, mellow finish.
