Four Roses – Small Batch Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 52%)

Four Roses Small Batch Select is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Four Roses distillery in Lawrenceburg, introduced in 2019 and bottled at 104 proof (52%) without chill filtration. Master Distiller Brent Elliott blends six of the distillery's ten recipes, using the V, K and F yeasts from both the higher rye and lower rye mash bills. Each is aged for a minimum of six years in new charred oak. The nose brings raspberries, red berries, orange blossom, clove and nutmeg. On the palate there is apricot, candied fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper and light oak, followed by a long finish of spearmint with a touch of cinnamon and spice.
