Foxes Bow Release 01 (70cl, 43%)

Foxes Bow Release 01 is a triple-distilled Irish blended whiskey, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration or added colour. It was matured in bourbon casks and finished in former Oloroso sherry casks and rye whiskey casks. The founders, who know the North American rye tradition, wanted to bring that influence into an Irish whiskey, and developed the recipe with Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk. The nose is floral, with sweet vanilla and toasted wood. On the palate it is robust and balanced, with fruity sherry notes, then spice and a velvety vanilla sweetness. Sweet fruit and vanilla carry through a long finish.
