A 2004 Marsala Vergine Secco from Francesco Intorcia, chosen for the producer's Heritage project. It is a dry Marsala made under the Marsala DOC.
The wine rested for more than ten years in oak casks, which gave it evolved, complex aromas and a sophisticated palate. It is deep golden in the glass with amber reflections.
The nose is deep and intense, with vanilla and sweet spice, then toasted almonds, peanuts, coffee, dried figs and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, true to the nose, with very good length.
