Frank August Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a 7 year old bourbon in a 75cl bottle, and the brand's third release of hand-selected single barrels. Master distillers and master blenders helped pick the 15 barrels, each bottled at cask strength between 114.6 and 125.4 proof.
The nose opens with baking spices, oak and fruit, followed by vanilla and cacao. On the palate cinnamon comes first, then rye spice, with sweet vanilla and caramel balancing the strength. The finish is long, carrying baking spices, black cherries and cacao between soft oak and vanilla.
