Frank August Small Batch is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 50% ABV. It is a permanent addition to the brand's range and sits alongside its small batch bourbon.
Each batch is blended from only 10 to 15 barrels, and the whiskey has been aged for a minimum of six years.
The nose offers toasted grain, clove, black tea and a hint of fresh mint. Peppery rye spice leads the palate, followed by caramel, orange peel and dark cocoa. The finish is clean and lingering, with gentle heat, oak tannins and a touch of spearmint.
