Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon is a five-year-old straight bourbon bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is grown, distilled, matured and bottled on the Frey Ranch farm in Fallon, Nevada, and it is bottled non-chill filtered.
The mash uses four grains, all grown on the farm: 66.6% corn, 11.4% winter rye, 10% winter wheat and 12% two-row barley, with the barley malted on site. The spirit is double distilled.
The producer describes oak and citrus on the nose with honey and candied orange, a palate of vanilla, caramel and dried mint, and a long finish of cedar, pepper and treacle.
