Frey Ranch Straight Rye is a bottled-in-bond straight rye whiskey bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It is aged for a minimum of five years in fire-charred new American oak.
The rye is grown, distilled and bottled on Frey Ranch's 650-acre estate in Fallon, Nevada, from 100% Winter Cereal Rye raised on the farm. It won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose combines oak and rye spice with vanilla, caramel, grapefruit zest, almond and honey. Black pepper and ginger run through a buttery palate of caramel and vanilla, and the long finish is honey, raisin, cacao nibs and white pepper.
