This is a 5 year old single cask Bonnington, Edition 15.0 of the 'G' series and a 21st single cask bottling. Bonnington is a young distillery, the first malt distillery in Leith in 100 years.
The whisky was distilled on 9 February 2021 and matured in a first-fill PX sherry octave cask, then bottled in March 2026. The cask yielded 66 bottles.
The nose is intense, with caramel fudge, Malaga ice cream, a hint of coconut bar, fresh wood and warming spices. The palate starts gently spicy, then turns to oily caramel sweetness with dried pear bread, ginger and a touch of cola herb. The finish is very long, with a hint of leather and dark tobacco.
